WELCOME TO HOMETOWN MUSICIAN.
Every musician or band you have on your iPod or computer has gone the distance. They started in garages, played cafés; busked their hearts out on their favorite sidewalks or plazas, and worked to get to where they are. Whatever it is they did, they had a beginning: just like you. Hopefully if you've stumbled on this blog, you're an musician with a passion for music and, just like so many other musicians, want to make it to the big time, whatever that means to you.
My purpose (call it a mission statement) is to show the many different ways local, up and coming bands/musicians have gone about reaching their own self-defined success. I say "self-defined" intentionally (I'm a post-modernist at heart). Success means many different things to many different people. Hopefully these interviews and stories will impact you in someway to define and pursue your own success. There are many ways to get to where you want to be. This is how they did it. And they are all musicians with a beginning. They, too, are Hometown Musicians.
